We accept most insurances, however there is a difference between “In-Network” and “Out-of-Network” status. To avoid any confusion or misunderstandings about this topic please provide a copy or picture (front/back) of your insurance cards to either your therapist or the Executive Director.
We are “In Network” with several Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans: co-payments, deductibles, and no-show/late cancellation fees DO NOT apply for these clients per California state law. Please note: we are not billing Medicare related insurances at this time.
"In Network" Insurances we accept
- Health Net
- Health Net Medi-Cal (Vivant/Sequoia & others in Health Net Medi-Cal umbrella)
- Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal
- Central California Alliance for Health (CCAH)
- Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ)
- California Medi-Cal/Medicaid
- Straight Medi-Cal (DHCS)
- Medicare/MediCal (Medi-Medi), not straight Medicare.
- Patients who have both Medicare and Medi-Cal may have coverage through their Medi-Cal plan in certain circumstances. Because coordination-of-benefits requirements vary by plan and service, please contact us before scheduling to verify coverage.
The only “In-Network” commercial insurance we currently accept is Health Net (MHN). No show and late cancellation fees apply to Health Net commercial covered clients.
"Out of Network" Insurances
We are “Out of Network” with all other commercial insurances. If you are not covered by any of these insurance companies, we accept limited insurance and private pay options. Please be aware that your insurance may or may not pay for our services.
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part.
Example: If your health insurance plan has a $500 deductible and you have not made any payments or charges to your health plan, you are responsible for the cost of services until the deductible is met.
For example, if your insurance plan pays $132 per therapy session, that $132 amount will be applied toward your $500 deductible. You would be responsible for paying the applicable amount for the session, and the amount credited toward your deductible will depend on your insurance plan's benefits and allowed amount.
Once your $500 deductible has been met, your insurance plan will begin paying according to your specific benefits and the contracted rate between your insurance plan and our practice. At that point, you may be responsible for your applicable copay, as well as any fees or services not covered by your insurance plan.
In this example:
Before the deductible is met: The client is responsible for the applicable allowed amount for each covered session.
$132 per session: This is the example amount the insurance plan allows toward the session and is credited toward the client's deductible.
After the $500 deductible is met: The insurance plan begins paying its portion according to the client's benefits, and the client is responsible for the applicable copay and any non-covered fees.
Please contact your insurance provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
We would recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Private Pay Rates
- $200 - Intake session
- $150 - 50 min individual therapy and couples therapy
- $125 - 40 min session
- $100 - 30 min session
Payment
We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, and Health Savings Accounts as forms of payment. We can also provide a superbill for out-of-network/pocket clients.
Cancellation Policy
In order to avoid Late Cancellation or No Show fees of $75.00, please contact your therapist at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. For those who have Medi-Cal, you will not be charged a cancellation or no show fee.
